Amaran Introduces New Lighting Solutions for Content Creators at NAB 2024

Amaran, previously seen as a budget-friendly version of Aputure, is now focused on content creators with new lighting solutions.

Hi, it's me Haley Royal from Cinematography for Actors, covering NAB 2024 for No Film School. I am sitting here in this amazing podcast booth setup with Aaron Sai, the Global VP of Marketing for Amaran.

Aaron Sai explained that Amaran was originally known as a more affordable version of their parent brand, Aputure, which focused on filmmakers. Now, Amaran has shifted its focus towards content creators by offering lighting solutions tailored specifically for them.

The brand is developing products for two main user segments: mobile content creators and studio setups. Their mobile product line aims to be more affordable, portable, and battery-efficient. This is ideal for content creators who need mobility and longer usage times without being tethered to power sources.

The development process involves feedback from "resident pros" who collaborate with influencers and content creators to ensure the products meet the community's needs. Amaran is also building a comprehensive ecosystem, including both software and hardware, to make their products intuitive and user-friendly.

Currently, Amaran offers various lighting solutions like panel lights, tube lights, and point sources. For those who can't wait to start, Sai recommends the 60D mobile light, which resident pros can provide more insights on.
