IO Interactive is set to delight gamers with their upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, scheduled for release in 2026. The excitement has been further fueled by the announcement of a special mission featuring an iconic Bond villain in IO Interactive’s Hitman series.

The recent drop of the First Light trailer, ahead of the IO Interactive showcase at the Summer Games Fest, didn’t reveal new gameplay footage as anticipated. Instead, Hacken Abra, the CEO of IO Interactive, confirmed more gameplay details would be shared later in the summer.

The trailer confirmed the presence of familiar characters like MQ and Money Penny and introduced Isola, a significant character in the forthcoming game.

The highlight of the announcements was the return of Mads Mikkelson, who will voice his iconic role as Lashifra, the villain from Casino Royale, in a special Hitman mission. Completing this mission will unlock exclusive content in 007 First Light.
