Watching Legally Blonde for the First Time: A Millennial's Reaction

My review and first-time reaction to Legally Blonde, a 2001 comedy about a determined woman challenging stereotypes about her.

Hi. Yes. Hello and welcome to the channel. If you're new here, hi. My name is Ashley and if you're a returner, welcome back. I don't know how I haven't watched this one yet. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. If you haven't seen the title or read the thumbnail, we are watching the film Legally Blonde. I know if you clicked on this, you're probably thinking, Ashley, how have you not seen this? And I'm just going to be honest with I don't know. I don't know. I my brother, was it my brother or a few of my friends? In high school, they were in the musical. And so I know it's about a girl who like she gets broken up with, but she like proves him wrong or something and something about wanting a hot dog real bad.

So that's about all I And I got to be honest with you. When I first was putting this movie on a poll over on Patreon, that's where you vote on what I watch and when I watch it, I actually got this movie confused with Clueless, which I have seen. Clueless is on the channel. But I got those two things mixed up and probably because it's just two blondes as the main character. But um I don't know anybody who's going to be in this. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I don't know. I off the top of my head I don't. Um, I know we're It's not a revenge arc, but it's just like a I'm gonna I'm gonna show you what I'm made of. I'm gonna do it. And I love a story like that. And I think it's gonna be really funny. I feel like this is another one of those super quotable films that I'm excited to just have under my belt and in my repertoire of movie knowledge. So, no more dialing. Let's get right on into today's Millennial Movie Monday, which is Legally Blonde.

OMG. Why was that the cutest? I had no idea that this movie was that funny. You know what I mean? I had no This was so much fun and so cute and I remembered, you know, the whole revenge, you know, proving people wrong. I totally forgot. How in the world? Because there's a whole song dedicated to it in the musical. How did I forget about the bend and snap? It's so funny. Jennifer Coolage is so funny. And I don't know what it is about her. Is it her? The way she What am I thinking about a hot dog then? Isn't there a gift? It's like her and it's like, "Oh my god, you look like the Fourth of July makes me want a hot dog real bad. I see that all the time around the 4th of July." So like I thought it was from this movie. I guess it's not. So I guess I was wrong about that. But anyways, this is just such a good movie. This is so funny. I love a good revenge story in a revenge where it doesn't harm anybody. She just proves herself to herself and to others. And I love that. What a good, wholesome, funny movie.

And it's so different than the musical. It's so different than the musical, which I mean, you're probably thinking, Ashley, of course it is. It's a musical. Well, well, this was a really good movie. I'm so glad that I finally got to watch this film. It's so funny. You know, when I made the poll over on Patreon about what I wanted to watch, I personally wanted to watch all the movies that were on the poll, but I was really hoping specifically that either this movie or Mean Girls, the first one with like Lindsay Lohan. I was really hoping that that one would win, too. So, either way, I was going to win, but Legally Blonde won hands down. And so, I'm very happy about that. I'm very happy about that. Anyways, this actually wraps up July. Holy cow. I feel like the first three months of this year were super slow and now the year is just flying by. As for August, I have no idea what's coming up on the channel. I know for franchise Fridays, instead of sticking to one movie franchise, I switched it up a little bit and decided to do a director's franchise. So, we voted on directors and now Stephen Spielberg won in a landslide. So, now for Fridays, we are voting on Stephen Spielberg movies exclusively. I have no idea currently what's coming up on Wednesdays for the TV show. If I had to bet, I bet it's Buffy season 6, but I don't know that for sure. And I have no idea what's coming up on Mondays. So, that means every single day in August is open up to you to vote on what I watch and when I watch it over on Patreon. A link is in the description box down below. And of course, there's links to my social media down there as well if you want to be my friend outside of the YouTube averse. So, until then, I hope you like, subscribe, stick around, take your meds, drink your water. Love you. Bye.
