New Camera Cage for Sony Bano Revealed at NAB 2024

Discover the new camera cage designed for the Sony Bano camera, enhancing filming capabilities with innovative features.

Blackmagic Design is once again leading the charge in film post-production and television solutions, as showcased at NAB 2024. Among the exciting innovations is the new camera cage for the Sony Bano, developed by Wooden Camera.

This camera cage is designed to enhance filming capabilities by incorporating existing accessory systems, such as the 386 Ultra handle and 3816 mounting points. The design minimizes hard points and utilizes traditional 15mm lightweight rods for stability. Unique features include forward-facing bolt-on rods and an ARCA riser plate for quick transitions between setups.

The camera also showcases an EVF system that offers versatility with a through-hole rod and adjustable slide plate. Mini NATO rail plates allow for various orientation options, while a rosette standoff facilitates compatibility with traditional hand grips. Additionally, the innovative debox system enables hot swaps with electronic fuses and a 4-pin XLR connector for uninterrupted filming.

The Ultra 7X monitor, featuring an integrated transmitter and internal antenna, enhances this setup by eliminating obstacles and supporting future camera control features. The magnetic cable ties, available in 13 colors, offer a simple solution for organization.

This new camera cage embodies a blend of innovation and practicality, catering to film professionals' dynamic needs.
